Summer

I am officially done with my spring 2012 semester.
Cover your ears, kids and grandma;
F*ck, yeah!

Man was I ready to be done!

I went horse back riding this weekend and am in love.
My horse's name is Troy, as in Troy from High School Musical.
Cute/embarassing, but whatever.
He is gracious to me.
I am so thankful for the opportunity!
Turns out the owner is a Christian and has a lot of the same sentiments as I do.
I feel really good about the whole thing.
Thanks, Yahweh.
Sunday we went to a clinic to learn bridle-less riding.
I hope to go without a bit eventually.
Seriously, I am so happy to have a horse in my life finally.

I feel really good about my major being Agriculture, too.

Thoughts;
35mm COLOR (yes!) film
dropped digital photo
summer
Wisconsin
Josh coming home
I love MY dogs
Troy, my new love
dresses

Goals for this season;
clean and gut my room of clutter and excess
garage sale with purpose
create and re-purpose
thrift often
redecorate
clean closet of clothes too small, out of date, or outlandish
ride often, learn much

Push through!

Yesterday I went for a 2 hour bike ride to calm my nerves.
I came home hungry and tired to find my mom putting dinner on the table.
Needless to say, I was very happy to be home.
Seriously as much of a bummer not transferring this fall should be, I'm more and more happy about it. I get to take classes I need for way cheap, spend more time with my dogs, AND hopefully there is a horse somewhere of my own in the future.
So today I had my photography practical and showed my portfolio.
My professor has me doing iPhone photography this next semester.
We'll see if that turns out well...
Either way, glad to be done with that.
Time to break out the fun things like the Holga 120 and my other goofy lomo cameras.

Now, I need to stop procrastinating and study for my Marine Bio class.
1 exam and 2 finals to go!
Woo!

Later, Josh and I are going clothes shopping.
I need some riding stuff and he needs a nice black shirt.

House sitting this weekend,
oh and you know, RIDING SOME HORSES!
So excited!

Weekend

So yesterday on my bike ride I found a dead lady in her car.
Ok, so thank God she wasn't dead.
She just looked that way.
Apparently she was tweaking pretty hard, and really shouldn't have been driving, but she was not dead.
Which is a really good thing.
I don't think I could handle that.

I also gave directions to an elderly Indian couple thanks to my iPhone's map feature.
Seriously, what can't this thing do?

Have you made a point to enjoy a sunset?
Not just have it catch you off guard on your drive home from work, but actually count on it being breathtaking and actively chase after it?
Bring your camera when you do.

Thoughts;

credence

Saw an advisor yesterday out at Yuba;
found out I need more credits than I thought.
Another year at Yuba, pride bruised and excitement fading.
My 6 unit semester is now 20.
Chem, animal and plant sciences, and an AG course over the summer... if I can get into them.

Met with my papa yesterday for yogurt,
it was really, really nice.
I miss strong Christian influences in my life.

Went for a bike ride to clear my head;
these are the pictures that resulted.
It was a wonderful summer-like day.

Thoughts;
sleep
work
slow
surrender

Prone to wander, Lord I feel it
Prone to leave the God I love
