Cuttings

Life is weird.
Things just flow, and flow, and flow.
I'm super grateful for the people in my life. For family and friends, new and old.
I'm thankful for my jobs, my little house, my pets.
I'm thankful for access to nature and free organic produce.
I'm thankful for sunshine and the smell of hay on the breath of my favorite horse; thankful to watch Duke smile as he runs alongside me and the Mule.
I'm overwhelmed sometimes.
Overwhelmed with thanks and homework and love
and by the smell of early spring; the smell of each individual
blade of grass worshiping and adoring.
Overwhelmed by the beauty of clicking and swooping bats at the barn,
by the grace in such little movements.
I'm full of so much warmth.
Life is kind.

Thoughts;
friendship
new growth
the oh hellos
letters
mix CDs
butternut curry soup
slow Saturdays
being awake
spring, in her truest form

The Start of Something New

The start of most things is almost always the best part. Things are fresh and new.
Like spring.
The first day of my last semester of college was Tuesday.
After all the years spent in a school system, it is interesting* to imagine life on the outside.

To new beginnings coming from some other beginning's end!

Here are some moments from the trip to see Allie.

Thoughts;
fog
ocean air
gulls
warm sand
lace
Chico's wonderful spring smells
sunshine
hikes
camping
thankfulness

Upper Park

Weeds, sunshine, Bidwell.
Enjoyed a long walk with Duke.
Took in the warm sunshine, shared a mandarin from my mom's tree, and thought about life.
Then we headed to the barn.
Pretty sweet, simple day.

Thoughts;
rain
citrus
spring
surf rock band names
SoCal road trip x2
